Fungal dieases with respect to plant, animal and human (Mycoses).
The course will survey the microorganisms causing major diseases of man with special references to Nigeria and laying emphasis on host parasite relationship. Mechanisms of infections, virulence, symptoms of infections, treatment and control as well as their morphological, cultural and growth characteristics, pathogenesis and diagnosis. Techniques in medical microbiology laboratory. Measure to improve human health (i.e. public health) and successes in Nigeria.
